The dominant story about our wounds is that they come from bad things that happened to us, which damaged us in some way, and are now negatively impacting our lives.
But I hold our wounds as sacred in the same way I see our purpose and mission as sacred.

If there’s one thing I see when it comes to people’s messages, it’s that they’re too damn safe.

It’s time to get more rascally and fierce!

Your people need to feel your stake in the ground and know what you’re taking a stand for. That’s when they know what and who you’re committed to!

As paradigm changers, we love to explore the edge, continually opening up new terrain inside of ourselves and in the world.

And as service providers, it’s important to know that not everybody is ready to join you on the edge…

But some are desperately hungry for it.

So, who’s ready to join you on the edge?

How do you share a vision?
You share a vision by putting words to what you see…
And the funny thing is that you will never see the whole picture!

When you’re an activator of people’s power…
When you activate their ability to lead…
When you activate their capacity to take a stand for things…

There is a relationship between your wounds and your purpose in that your wounds always give rise to your purpose. The question is, are you still giving life to the old stories from your wounds… or are you giving life to the emerging story of your purpose?

It’s important to remember, as smart as you may be, that you still have a very limited perspective with which you see the world. It’s just part of the human condition. So when you’re looking at difficulty, trying to come up with solutions, using your mind alone, you’re actually quite limited.

To receive a calling is a receptive act. You heard a call, which by definition means that there are people out in the world that sent the call.

Messaging is the act of responding to those that sent the call saying, “I heard your call and I’ve spent a good chunk of my life developing the expertise and mastery to answer it. I now have something built especially for you to offer you. Here it is, welcome in.”

You know that you are here as a guide – not to be a guide, you are a guide.

And it’s time to give up working with people who are not on the journey that you are a guide for.

Anytime you’re working with someone where the work doesn’t seem to flow, chances are one of two things are true:

Your job is to till the soil in people’s lives, which brings fresh oxygen and nutrients to the surface so that new life can grow. 

The people who are asking for that and are willing to pay you for it are people who know that the soil in their life is kind of dead – there’s something inside that says, “I need new oxygen! I need new life to be brought to the surface of my life!”

When people enter my world, there is usually a bigger sense of purpose showing up in their lives.

Maybe you’ve done what you do for a long time, but there’s something new emerging – a next-level calling.

And that bigger calling isn’t something you can fully see or make sense of.

So what happens when you feel the call to chart a course and set sail… even if you don’t know where to chart a course to?

How do you set sail then? What tool do you use to navigate?

Use the lifeforce of what’s calling you – that’s your Northstar.

There are times in life when you may find yourself spending a lot of time and energy resisting. Resisting going where the ground is fertile, simply because you haven’t been there before. You cling to increasingly barren land, but the land waiting for you IS fertile. It exists in claiming what YOU are here to offer and the type of dance you invite people into.

What do you need to hear or do to release the brakes?
