In my early 20s I used to sing at my spiritual teacher’s events to open up the space and open people’s hearts. I developed a prayer and intention-setting ritual before stepping onto those stages (that I still use before a speech, training or webinar) where I say to the Universe…

“As above, so below. May my voice be encoded with the frequency of love.”

Then when I was 27 I moved to San Francisco and joined the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus as a social outlet. In my first concert they cast me as Mrs. Claus, with a big, bawdy song that I sang as part of a holiday skit at the top of the show.

The choreographer put me in a red sequined dress that barely went past my waist, 6” acrylic high heels and a big, blonde wig (which made me about 7’ tall!)

The concert was at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, and before the show I stepped out behind the theater to do my ritual and invocation… “As above, so below, may my voice be encoded with a frequency of love.”

As soon as I said this, I thought “what the heck am I doing? I’m in a sparkly red dress about to sing a very bawdy song.”

Just then, my guidance said, “Jeffrey, do you think we care what you’re wearing? Do you even think we care about the words of the song that you’re about to sing? No – all we care about is your intent, and if your intent is for your voice to be encoded with a frequency of love, so it will be.”

I went onto that stage, sang my bawdy song in my red sequined dress, and had a spiritual experience.

Part of the day job of a paradigm changer is to be an activator of consciousness, an activator of certain frequencies of consciousness, an activator of certain realities that we have not yet seen or known in the material reality yet.

You have the ability to attune yourself to this reality that you’re here to help activate with the spiritual tool of intent and prayer.

And as a messenger, when your words are dialed into the spiritual truth of your work, it activates this new reality within the people listening to you.

What will happen for your people is that they will feel the truth of your words, they will feel activated by them, because something in them says, Oh, I know this place. I know this place, it’s a reality. It may not be the reality that we are currently living, but it does not diminish the fact that it is a reality nonetheless.

So whether you are writing copy, making a post on social, stepping onto stage or opening up zoom, we offer up this prayer to you:

“As above, so below. May my voice be encoded with the frequency of love. May my words be encoded with this activating frequency of truth, and that the precise words I need to carry this frequency into the world are the words that come out of my mouth.”

Make that your prayer and you will start activating this spiritual technology of intent to activate the knowing of a new reality in your audience, in your industry, in the people listening to you, as you speak your words into this world.

That is the sacred act of messaging.
