I’ve always been fascinated by the nature of TIME. What is it? Does it even exist? How can a new understanding of time help leaders get off the treadmill of constant quest to succeed? And what about connecting with loved ones who have passed? Are we really doing that when we feel our ancestors are near?

This week’s episode is a little different for me because I’m not talking with a spiritual teacher about these things – I’m talking with celebrated astronomer, Colin Stuart, an expert on the science of time. Colin has this amazing superpower of making complex concepts simple and easy to understand, especially for a science novice like me. Colin’s nineteen books have sold over 400,000 copies worldwide and been translated into 21 languages. His latest book, TIME: 10 things you should know, explores the physics of time.

Colin Stuart is an award-winning astronomy author, writer and speaker who has talked to over half a million people about the universe, in schools, in businesses and for the public. His nineteen books have sold over 400,000 copies worldwide and been translated into 21 languages. He’s written over 200 popular science articles for publications including The Guardian, New Scientist, The Wall Street Journal and European Space Agency.

In recognition of his efforts to popularize astronomy, the asteroid (15347) Colinstuart is named after him. He won The Margaret Mallett Award for Children’s Non-Fiction in 2020 and has been runner-up in the European Astronomy Journalism Prize. A fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, He’s talked about space on Sky News, BBC News and Radio 5Live.
