The key to potency?
This week, my guidance encouraged me to talk about refinement.
Many of us feel an inner insistence to step out with the gifts we’ve been given—that this is a “no-kidding” kind of time in terms of playing full out.
And to do that, there are things we simply cannot take with us to where we’re called to go.
That might include:
- Old habits
- Obsolete identities
- Outdated relationships
Refinement means cutting away anything that doesn’t support the fullest, richest, most vibrant expression of what we’re here to deliver. It requires us to take stock of the things that may have been okay for a time but are no longer aligned with where we’re headed.
And often, the work itself needs refining.
People dilute their potency by doing work that isn’t fully theirs.
If this is true for you, it forces you into zones where you produce work you do well, but keeps you from the work you do superbly.
And this not only waters down your gifts—it impacts your sense of self.
When you don’t regularly give your best, you don’t have a regular experience of being your best.
So, one part of refinement is cutting away what no longer serves—what’s not meant to be part of your being or your service in this world any longer.
The other part of refinement is going more diligently and purposefully into the work you’re here on Earth to do… and nothing else.
Refinement creates potency.
Potency creates impact.
Impact creates change.
My guidance says: “We want you to be examples in this world—beings walking in deep alignment with their soul’s expression and blueprint, their essence. We want you to exude this wherever you go—in the boardroom, in line at the grocery store, with your clients, and throughout your marketing and online interactions. We want you to embody and radiate the potency and beauty of your spirit wherever you go.”
Ultimately, refinement is about stripping away anything that prevents you from walking through the world as a portal into a new consciousness for your people.
Is there anything more potent than someone who moves through the world in this way?
As this year ends, ask yourself:
- “What in my life or business is no longer resonant?”
- “What can I let go of as I close out this year and prepare for the New Year?”
- “How can I refine how I’m showing up in my life and in the world?”
Refinement isn’t just about doing less—it’s about being more.
Ultimately the more refined your expression is, the more potent it becomes.
