The Jeffrey Van Dyk Show | Episode 25

Revitalizing Adulthood Initiation Rites of Passage in a Modern Context with Jeffrey Van Dyk & John Wolfstone

John Wolfstone is a burgeoning leader on a mission to help revitalize adulthood initiation rites of passage in a modern context. We talk about the need for adult initiation, the role they can play in our contemporary lives, and how they support leaders in learning to trust themselves with power, so they can use it honorably. We also discuss The Sacred Matrix, a feature length documentary film John is releasing this year about the work of the Tamera Peace Research & Education Community in Portugal, which is one of Earth’s most radical social experiments in human futurism.

John shares many of the lessons that Tamara has learned and a model they teach about a new regenerative, nonviolent planetary culture, with the vision of a post-patriarchal civilization free of violence and war. John and I discuss the lessons he learned from Tamera about creating trust and connection, having honest, sometimes difficult conversations, and building sustainable communities… while living sustainably.
