It’s frustrating to have a business that’s not going anywhere.
No matter what you do, nothing seems to work. People don’t care, and your audience doesn’t respond to your message.
When this happens, questions start running through your head. You begin to wonder what you’re doing wrong.

There might be many reasons your business isn’t working. But most of them come down to two things: your “why” and your “who.”
The “why” is all about you. It’s your unique reason for trying to deliver a message. Figuring out your “why” can be one of the biggest milestones in your business. It shows your purpose. If you’re lucky, people can relate and will start paying attention.
That’s one part of the equation. You still need to figure out “who.”
Finding those who really resonate with your message can be difficult.
Some people might slap a few labels on their audience and think they’ve found their target market. You might hear them say “I work with entrepreneurs,” or “I work with attorneys.”
But this is nowhere near enough. Defining your market like this results in a very broad audience. Large segments of them won’t care what you have to say.
This is why you need to find your tribe. Dig deep into the broad audience and select the people you can help the most.
When you pull this off, your work takes on meaning and stops feeling like a job. You’ll enjoy every moment when you’re living your purpose.
And it will get your business unstuck and growing again. Things click into place and start to work across the board. People are drawn to you and are willing to pay for what you do.
So, if you feel like you need to figure stuff out, all you have to do is start with the “why” and the “who.”
