The curious inspiration of your Hell No!
If you feel deeply impacted by what’s going on in the world…
The question that keeps showing up for me is, “What’s been inspired within you?”
Now, I know that when we think of inspiration, we normally think of being inspired by beauty, wonder, or awe — and yes, it’s exhilarating when inspiration comes in that form.
But a curious, fiery inspiration can also be triggered by your inner warrior saying, “HELL NO!”
In fact, when I start with a new client, I often start with what they are DONE with…
Because many of them (perhaps like you) have a high degree of mastery that isn’t being sufficiently recognized or rewarded.
So, to keep the lights on, they let too many of the wrong people into their world as clients — and the wrong clients (whether individuals or organizations) always cost you the most.
Bottom line: they end up feeling burnt out and even resentful.
But at some point, something in them rises up and says, “Enough is enough — I can’t/won’t live like this anymore. Come hell or high water, I’ll figure this out.”
I LOVE it when they show up in this state! It means they are finally at the end of their rope, being triggered by their “Hell No!” enough to claim a much, much bigger “Hell Yes!”
In your life, you’ve probably found that what you DON’T want often creates the contrast needed to bring what you DO want into focus.
If you know you’re here to contribute to a new story for humanity, allow what you don’t want to elicit your “Hell No” and let it inspire you…
Not as a victim of what’s happening — but as a visionary who is putting voice and form to what’s waiting to emerge.
This is an invitation to let whatever is happening in the world and in your life inspire you…
To be fired up, more boldly and fully expressed, and more devotionally connected to your soul’s work and the guidance that streams through you…
Because it’s time to build what you’re here to build.
When something deep in your gut says, “Hell no. Uh-uh. Nope. Not this.”…
Define what you’re willing to commit to in service to your calling. I’m not talking about what you want or desire — define what you’re willing to commit to.
Make the internal declaration, “This is happening.” And make it long before you know how the hell to do it.
After all, finding out how something comes to fruition along the way is what builds a strong muscle of faith. Besides, if you let yourself get rascally about it, building the plane as you’re flying it can be a ton of fun!
So let’s go, my friends. Let’s go.
