COMPLETELY UNREASONABLE

COMPLETELY UNREASONABLE

Breathe life into the next (bigger, bolder) thing you feel called to do by discovering the form your emerging work is meant to take, and the unvarnished language that gets the right people to buy in.

Let me show you my proven (yet entirely unorthodox) process to get clear on your next work and prove to yourself that it is entirely possible without compromise.

I’ve always made the most money doing the things my colleagues told me NOT to do… and insisted would never sell.

I did them anyway. Yes, my mind couldn’t justify it, but my gut knew it was true.

And every time I went for it, it always worked out, leading to the new chapter where I worked with far better clients, had much more fun and fulfillment and made far more money that seemed completely unreasonable to others.

Here’s what I’ve discovered from going through this process multiple times (and from leading others through it):

The very thing you’re trying to tone down or make more acceptable may be the thing your market is CRAVING.

And here’s the crazy part…

Some of my biggest successes have come from doing things that (I will admit) were completely unreasonable.

Things that made absolutely no sense on a spreadsheet. Things that flew in the face of conventional marketing wisdom. Things I couldn’t logically justify—but that felt absolutely right.

For example…

When I launched Spiritual Marketing Quest, people warned me against using the word “spiritual” in my branding.

When I created a webinar called What Your Wounds Have to Do With Your Marketing, colleagues told me nobody would click on something that talked about wounds.

And when I decided to close our live events with a two-hour, blues-band-fueled spiritual revival, there wasn’t a marketing playbook on earth that would have recommended it.

Seriously. Who puts a spiritual revival with a live blues band at the end of a marketing event?

There was no data to back it up. No proven formula. No logical reason it should work.

We just had this wild idea, thought it would be amazing, and went for it.

The results? We sold out every event from the very beginning (150 people each) and generated $750,000 in our first year.

And those are just a few examples.

Here’s what I’ve learned:

When you go all-in on the work you’re truly called to create, you can tap into a deep craving in your market that nobody else is speaking to quite like you can.

But I see so many gifted entrepreneurs doing the exact opposite.

They have a bold, original idea they’re genuinely excited about.

Then they start second-guessing it. They take it to conventional marketers who tell them why it won’t work. They try to justify it logically, make it fit a proven formula, or turn it into something more acceptable.

So they soften the message. Make it more conventional. Try to turn it into something people will understand and buy.

And before they know it, they’ve reasoned themselves right out of the very thing that made their work extraordinary.

The result? An uninspiring, halfway version that doesn’t excite YOU nearly as much—and doesn’t engage your market either.

What if the answer isn’t to make your work more reasonable… but to go FULL OUT with the thing that makes it completely unreasonable?

Here’s what we’ll do together:

  • Find its True Shape. Every new idea is something that’s seeking to emerge in the zeitgeist. The trouble is that if you try to fit it into frameworks that are too small for it, you’ll never see what it wants to become… and that’s why it stays stuck in your head. But take the constraints off and you’ll see what was there all along. That’s when it clicks: “That’s it! That’s THE THING!” So we start the workshop there, and you leave with a much bigger, more vibrant vision you can bring into form.
  • Match it to the Market Craving. The wild part is that whenever someone is called to emergent work, by definition there must be a craving for that thing already in the market. This is where we play Yenta (a Jewish matchmaker) and connect Your Next Thing to the market’s unmet craving. Then you can finally get what you’re here to deliver into the hands of the people waiting for it.
  • Make it Unreasonable. When it’s time to put Your Thing in front of people, the instinct is to make it safe: more acceptable, more logical, more marketable. We’ll name the stories behind that instinct and see where they’ve been stripping away the very thing that makes your work powerful. Then we’ll find out what comes out of you when you stop protecting it: the entirely unreasonable, uncompromising version of Your Thing, which gives you the biggest chance of success and fulfillment.
  • Say it Unapologetically. You can feel it, but when you try to explain it, it comes out flat, or too safe, or like everyone else. Once we’ve shaped your next thing into its unreasonable form, we find the unvarnished words to describe it, so the right people hear it and their eyes light up. You don’t have to sell them. They’re already leaning in, asking, “Okay, what is THAT, and how do I get it?”

We’ll wrap up our experience by showing you 3 steps to take Your Thing and run with it… so it finally gets out of your head and into the world.

This workshop is for you if…

You have something bold, original, or unconventional that you’re already trying to bring into the world. Or that you’ve already brought into the world but are struggling to describe to others.

Something you feel deeply called to create—even if you can’t quite explain why it should work.

But it’s been two steps forward, one step back.

Because each time you try to bring it to form using traditional marketing strategies and approaches, they blow up in your face and just frustrate you further.

You keep second-guessing it, toning it down, or trying to make it more acceptable, understandable, or marketable.

And somewhere along the way, you’ve lost some of the life force that made the idea so exciting in the first place.

Big Love,

Jeffrey

P.S. While I believe the approach to creating and launching your next work can make you more fulfilled and make you a lot more money.

The deeper reason I’m doing this is that it’s part of my mission to support the leaders who are called to steward something new into the world. I believe it’s you taking part in activating a new story for humanity.

And to do THAT, it requires you to be completely unreasonable in a world that keeps asking you to conform.

Besides which, it’s just a hell of a lot more fun.
